Training objectives

After completing Module 6, you will be able to:

  1. Describe the purpose of the screening analysis used in the PHA.
  2. Define ATSDR-derived comparison values (CVs) used for screening.
  3. Identify sources for non-ATSDR screening levels.
  4. Define health guidelines.
  5. Identify the steps of the screening analysis.
  6. Identify ATSDR's approach to selecting appropriate screening levels.
  7. Identify contaminants requiring further evaluation.

Public health professionals involved or interested in the PHA process, including:

  • Environmental Health Specialists, Toxicologists, and Epidemiologists
  • Community Involvement Specialists, Health Communicators, and Health Educators
  • Medical Officers and Registered Nurses
